So - at this age, I'm at a crossroads on this makeup thing.
I never did make up and explored it - even though I did try multiple times, but not seriously I suppose. I think I get overwhelmed and just think it's stupid at the end of the day.
I still don't know my shade - and this is where I think I've been stuck. I've bought packets to try stuff, but idk, I just never applied it.
You know what I need? ...a documented Plan!
So, here we go:
- Take stock - grab every makeup-related items I currently have and start taking stock. Before buying anything else, play with what's already there. I need to make sure that I throw away OLD stuff and not just hoard it cause I could have to use it or it might come in handy. It's not going to do my skin any justice and it's plain old unhealthy.
- Try and try - use the good stuff and just try it out. The problem here is - I will need proper lighting and according to the internet, testing in natural light is best. I'd need to do this during the day (...I'm already fed up)
- Get closer - by now, I'd reduce anything I've got to bear basics and in some manner, closer to my shades and what I need to get - the basics:
- Primer
- Foundation
- Concealer
- Eyes & Brows - eye shadow, eyeliner, brow gel
- Cheeks - blush and highlighter
- Bronzer (contour?)
- Lips - lipstick, gloss
- Loose powder? banana powder? idk
- Setting spray
- Tools - brushes, sponges, applicators....ummmm
- ....this is a list ...ok ... #overwhelmed and overcomplicating sh!t - I'm not there yet
- Throw it away - if it doesn't work for me, just throw it out
- Practice - just do it for no reason, no need to wait for something, just go at it. Go to work with it on Fridays, eventually for the week, and become one of those made-up girls (throw in a pair of heels even! ...lol in time)
If this is anything like my weight loss journey - see you never.
😂😢
